DMC E3849 – Aquamarine is a blue-green metallic embroidery thread from the Light Effects series. The shiny fibres create a bright, fresh sparkle that changes when the light catches them.
Use DMC E3849 for water, mermaids, stars, snowflakes, lettering and festive details. A few stitches are often enough to make a motif visibly sparkle.
DMC E3849 combines beautifully with turquoise, mint, deep blue, white, silver and coral. Alongside matte blue-green shades, it gives your embroidery variety through the contrast between soft colour and bright sheen.
Cut short lengths of thread and use a needle with a large eye. Let the thread hang loose occasionally so it can untwist and is less likely to knot or fray.
